After finding the perfect venue that needed some modernisation in order to obtain licenses, on the 6th december of that year the Denbigh Leisure Complex [ which is later to become more better known as "The Sanctuary" ] in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire is to become the spiritual home of "The Warehouse Concept" as Murray and ESP began a long run of parties under the name of "Dreamscape". From very humble beginnings, Murray and the crew were constantly packing out the venue every time and leaving many disappointed ravers outside.
After four hugely successful parties at denbigh leisure, ESP took their creative talents on the road as they treated the northern ravers with the first dreamscape party outside of their new home base. Despite been one of the coldest days of that year and a little dirty tricks campaign, a converted old department store in Hull, north Yorkshire spawned another feat as Dreamscape V would turn out to be another successful party for the crew and citied by some as the best dreamscape party ever. Seeing that they had a knack for this kind of party, Murray took dreamscape to the people as they held club tour parties in all parts of the country [ Leicester, Coventry, Birmingham, Mansfield and St. Ives ] which was a first for a organiser of such a size to do on a regular basis.
As each party had got bigger and had to better than the last party, Murray and his team needed to go up a level even higher so they planned to execute the largest party ever in the UK, the "Woodstock 2" weekender at Fen Farm in Wavendon, a small village on the outskirts of Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. With the party given the go-ahead by the local council there was a very unexpected sting in the tail as Murray's other backer didn't actually have any money and had done a runner with some of their ticket money, forcing Murray to pull the party at the last minute which made a few promoters a bit perturbed.
Due to the unforseen circumstances surrounding the Woodstock party, Murray's company is on a knife-edge and ESP is facing possible bankruptcy. A true raver at heart, Murray gave the effected party-goers free tickets for his next party or paid them back straight out of his own pocket. A couple of years later, and ESP promotions finally put the record straight and bounced from the woodstock fiasco with the "Dreamscape 20, The Big Outdoors" all-nighter, held very near to the spot where he held his last outdoor party five years previously.
As the public knew that ESP were a legitimate firm and in the scene for the long haul, Murray and his dedicated team [ Max, Vanessa, Stacey, Kev and Brian ] of backroom staff managed to host another nineteen parties after the woodstock affair until his untimely passing just before the "Dreamscape 22, The Dreamscape Files" party at Shepton Mallet, Somerset. When we talk about the oldskool, the names "ESP", "Dreamscape" and "The Sanctuary" will always creep into the conversation even now which tells us that dance music will never fully recover from this tragedy as Murray and ESP have left a lasting legacy that will not die and fade away. His team pioneered the multi-arena concept, putting all the genres of dance music back in one place and in such a way that no other organiser will be able to copy his concept.
