May 6th - National: Adamski

Rave's very own keyboard wizard, Adamski... Sweeps all before him, stays on the right side of Beechams, and his latest creation goes straight to number one in the UK charts!. Assisted by his studio engineering brother Mark, Adamski's single "Killer" features the head-turning debut of his tour MC "Seal".

May eventually turns out to be a good month for Lymington resident Adamski because his record will exceed it's expectations and stay on the top-spot for a further three weeks.

May 12th - Cambridge: Eclipse

Bursting back onto the Anglian scene with legal pay parties at Vienna's in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk and more recently at Cinderella Rockafella's in Cambridge... Years of criss-crossing their adopted counties in pursuit of the perfect gathering finally takes it's toll on "Two Brothers" promotions.

After successfully recently hosting a round of legal parties, organising siblings Stuart and David Banks of the newly formed "Groove II Promotions" could see the advantages of going straight and becoming a legal entity with a permanent home venue. Firstly, Stuart and David approached the local authorities and the management at the biggest venue available in the area with a sound business plan in their bid to get the elusive entertainments license.

Stuart and David's methodical approach to their promising new business careers had come to fruition as the authorities, city council and the venue management all start to sing from the same sheet. With their coveted license in place, the brothers finally get the green-light to promote and host "Eclipse" - Groove II's debut party at the historic Corn Exchange in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.

June 9th - Harrogate: Brave New World

One of the alleged "Mr Big's of Lancashire's party scene, the lone figurehead that has stood up and has famously been quoted as been "high on hope"... Blackburn's Tommy Smith is back at it again as he hosts his latest gathering. With the situation being a bit too close for comfort in his home county, Tommy has visions of '88 as he ventures fifty miles up the M1 to present his latest creation, "Brave New World", held in a equestrian centre near Harrogate, north Yorkshire.

As per usual, but this time our learnered friends from North Yorkshire police are tipped off and turn up at the warehouse with the express intention of shutting it down completely. Not quite up to speed with current times, local police officers thought they would be halting the proceedings by confiscating the record decks, the officers grave misjudgement leaves the orgainsers with a glimmer of hope.

Walking away from the warehouse, the officers depart the scene of their "hard-fought" triumph with victory theirs for the taking. Drastically underestimating their foes resourcefulness, when the officers left the warehouse the organisers clicked into gear... Someone in the crowd hot-wired a Amstrad hi-fi and the organisers played tape cassettes until they sourced a couple of decks!.
