Spotlight 003 - Dance Valley: Amsterdam, NL

For the third trip in the spotlight saga we have to hop back over the channel, back to the Netherlands. When we went over in '99, we saw that there was going to be a very big party in august of that year, we had to go back...

This party was far bigger than any party we have been to in the UK, held in two massive fields and with the main arena was set in a natural Ampitheatre, this is one of those parties you have visit once in your lifetime. After our first party in 1999, "D-V" became sort of a pilgrimage for us until '04 when real life unfortunately kicks in. Featured on the following page are a selection of the Dance Valley items that Amsterdam designer Donald beekman created, staring from Dance Valley's humble beginnings in '95 until the third edition in '97. From '98 onwards, another group of designers from Amsterdam called Bzrk Concept & Design took over the reigns until Dance Valley's 5th Anniversary in '00.

Spotlight 004 - Graham Rounthwaite: London, UK

For the forth round into the spotlight we dally back to English shores to feature a very talented artist from London, for this feature we will showcase the splendid artwork of the prolific graphic illustrator, Graham Rounthwaite.

Massively underrated and for those that don't know, Graham penned all the designs for the long-running fortnightly uber-party "Off Centre" at the 333 club in central London. Using his own graphic style, swagger and a little help from a mac, Graham carved a path through London's party scene which eventually saw his work been accredited in top-class magazines and credible publications. Graham's talent and attention to detail is all there for everybody to see and it has been a joy collecting these pieces as they view a snapshot of nineties club culture and London fashion through the artists perspective.
