One Person had a blinding vision that many in the party scene had thought impossible. Loud, confident and upbeat he proclaimed live on national TV that he "would like to get married at a rave" not knowing that a few years later a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity would come up to fulfill that ambition.
Originally conceived by Micky Lynas's brother "Bam Bam" and partner Kieran Fivey, and later joined by Kieran's brother Neville and Micky himself, these four doormen-cum-party-organisers are responible for the near mythical organisation "Amnesia House" who were possibly the biggest and brightest things to come out of Coventry, west Midlands since Sir Frank Whittle, The Specials, Dave Bennett and Keith Houchen.
Amnesia House were also the first legal party organisers in the midlands, eventually growing into one of the most reconised organisations in the country.
The Amnesia House story starts off from very humble beginnings, with around two-hundred people in fact at their first illegal warehouse party at Canal Road in Coventry, west Midlands. After their first party, Bam Bam and Kieran discovered the thrill in organising parties even though the expected turnout wasn't that great. Gaining momentum with each event they present, Bam Bam and Kieran would eventually hold four more warehouse parties and a run of events at Chalkies Nightclub in Henley Green, north-east of Coventry city centre before their luck would run out as they attempted to host their first new years party at a abandonded warehouse in Rugby, Warwickshire.
As the local authorities breathing down their necks and clamping down on illegal parties in their area, Bam Bam and Kieran decided to turn Amnesia House into a legal venture. By now, Neville and Micky would have joined the team as he [ Micky ] introduces himself when Amnesia House hosts their first party of the year at the Civic Hall in the scenic market town of Whitchurch in Warwickshire. Taking a leaf out of their cousins book down south, within the next few months Micky will start running a membership scheme where as everybody on the list will become a fully paid-up member of their organisation.
For what Micky had realised is if they were going to hold any more parties, as long as their guests inside the purposed venue where members of that organisation, the team wouldn't have to apply for any expensive entertainments licenses. If they had written permission from the land owner and the venue was fit for purpose, by running a membership scheme the team could exploit that techinical loophole and the authorities would be powerless to act.
