Once Micky had dissolved his partnership with Amnesia, he immediately started up a rival party organisation with friend Steve "Shortie" Short called "Dance Trance" and took back control [ Amnesia House were using the venue at the time ] of Club Rage in Leicester, Leicestershire.

Now under the new "Dance Trance" banner, Micky and Shortie will produce all-nighters like " Series '93", "The Carl Cox Concept", "Rezolution" and the "Sound of Summer". Micky also had the spare time to annoy his ex-partners at Amnesia House even futher when he hosted his first "Wedding Anniversary" by playing on the apparent Amnesia links for his party by using the same colourways and images from the Brayfield party and giving away video tapes of "The Book Of Love" to lucky ticket holders.

In the quest for midlands dominance, at roughly the same time as starting Dance Trance, Micky Lynas also went into the music business with the "NMI International" record label which spawned the likes of Cyberdyne Systems "Space Warp" and Tango and Fallout's "Intrigue". Roughly a year after Micky's introduction into the midlands scene, Dance Trance would suffer a terrible tragedy which will leave them with one vital cog missing. Whilst on holiday in Ibiza in august '93, co-promoter Steve Short would pass away suddenly from an epileptic fit, this leaves Micky stunned and the wider midlands rave scene shocked. As a mark of respect for "Shortie", in November of that year Micky dedicates the "Capital Punishment" party at The Sanctuary in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire to his lost friend and co-promoter.

Nearly four years after Shortie's tragic passing, in August ' 97 Micky was arrested for an offence and taken to his local police station. Reports at the time where very sketchy on the incident but on the following day police officers had found that Micky had passed away in his cell. A high profile police inquiry is carried out after Micky's death and eventually comes to nothing.

Sadly, Micky Lynas is not with us any more but like it or not, his massive contribution for Amnesia House had left them in the position of been one of the UK's biggest promotions companies who alongside Quest and Pandemonium, shaped Midlands rave culture. True to himself and representive of the rave scene, his bold and brave admission on live TV is seen as a iconic moment on national television and in rave history and should always be remembered as such forever.
