December 24th - London: Genesis II
Two weeks after their gentle introduction into the pay party scene, Genesis once again takes center stage to host "Chapter II". For their second excursion, the organisers host their party in a "borrowed" warehouse on Leeside Road, east London.
The organisers improvised and also got creative by using thousands of abandoned tyres that littered the warehouse to build a ultra-violet lit entrance hall and soft drinks bar. Combine that with a brand new christmas tree, plastic netting, inflatables and some brand new white canopees that was acquired from a nearby building site and their party is almost complete!.
With such commitment to the pay party cause and close attention to the small details, the trio at genesis are snapping away at the heels of the top-tier of party organisers. The trio's second party attracts around nine-hundred guests.
December 26th - London: Genesis III
On to a good thing and two days later, Genesis make a return to the same warehouse in Leeside Road, east London to write the next chapter in their evolution. This time however, Genesis have been given the green light from all the relevant bodies as they now have "written permission" from the warehouse owner!.
After the initial problems with the venue's electricity supply [ the first three-hundred guests have to stand round in the dark ] the organisers are caught off guard [ mainly due to the favourable feedback from their xmas eve party ] by the two-thousand people who descended onto their warehouse.
Thinking that they only would have the same amount of guests as two days ago, the organisers drink stocks disappeared at such a rate that Wayne Anthony and a couple of his mates had to go to a 7-Eleven and buy every single drink at their full price!.
December 28th & 30th - London: Sunrise IV & V
After their little dust-up with the old bill last month, Tony Colston-Hayter and Dave Roberts played it straight and hosted their boxing day party "Sunrise IV" at Heaven nightclub in central London. Two days later, and with a day to go before their joint new years eve special in the east-end, the duo rounded off an eventful first year by hosting "Sunrise V - The Final Party" at the London Astoria in central London.
December 31st - London: Kiss FM
Transmitting to London and the surrounding counties illegally for the past few years...
Setting up rigs in tower blocks and brushes with the law could be a thing of the past for one of London's leading pirates, "Kiss FM".
In readiness of the possible award of a DTI radio broadcasters license, bosses at the station switched on the dodgy transmitter for the last time in their quest to become the first pirate station to turn legal in the United Kingdom.
December 31st - London: Sunrise & Genesis
In the first of the big-name promoter unions, the upstarts at Genesis team up with their friendly rivals at Sunrise to present "Sunset - The Final Party" at a [ very hot ] warehouse in Leeside Road, east London.
During the party Tony Colston-Hayter is confronted by alleged members of the ICF who demanded their cut in the takings from the party. Despite this scary situation, this is Genesis's biggest party to date with over three-thousand guests signing off the year until ten o'clock the next morning.
Tony Colston-Hayter was so spooked by the confrontation, his organisation will try to avoid holding parties that fall within the territories of football gangs.
