April

April 14th - London: Energy

With a run of monthly parties at the Brixton Academy already accounted for, Karma's Jeremy Taylor and Quintin Chambers kick-start another year on the party scene with the first of their "Live Dance Concept" parties at the purposly-built Docklands Arena on the Isle of Dogs, east London.

Taking the mantle from where their rivals at Biology had nearly accomplished, Energy will adopt the same principles by moving in the "rave-concert" direction. To accompany the normal fayre of London top DJ's, the organisers also booked a huge phletora of live acts [ Black Box, 808 State, Orbital, Snap!, Adamski and the Shamen ] to the delight of the expectant crowd.

April 15th - Tonbridge: Dance '90

Fronted by organiser Jeremy Millins - The team responsible for the behind-the-scenes gubbings at the infamous pyramid parties and their newer club protege - Rage... Abandons the bright lights and glamour of central London to host the first of the "Dance '90" parties at the Angel Centre in Tonbridge, Kent.

As you would expect, Pure's first all-nighter outside the capital had turned out to be a huge success for Jeremy and everybody else envolved. Ploughing on from their debut party, Pure took the Dance '90 "rave-on-tour" concept even futher affield eventually hosting four more parties [ two at the Brighton Centre in Brighton, west Sussex, the return party at the Angel Centre in Tonbridge, Kent and the last party in the tour at Farnborough Leisure Centre in Farnborough, Hampshire ] before the year is out.

April 20th - Bedford: ESP Promotions

Boyant after hosting three parties in as many months at the Roadmender in Northampton, ESP promoter Craig Campbell is joined by local entrepreneur and rave-mad partner Murray Beeston, who [ they met on holiday in Tenerife ] assures him that he can take his organisation up to the next level.

Murray's first act doesn't disrupt the flow of their new partnership as he finds a brand new, but rather "bijou" venue just outside the tiny village of Souldrop [ in between Rushden and Bedford ], Bedfordshire called Castaways. After obtaining the green light from the owner... The new and revitalised partnership start to network, promote and host a series of themed nights at Castaways which get busier and more rowdier with each passing week.

April 20th - Birmingham: Time

Fronted by Lancashire businessman Kenny Khan - "Time" starts in very small measures to give the midlands following a good reason to live for the weekends. Kenny and his team follow the growing trend and start hosting parties at the Porsche Club in Birmingham, west Midlands.

April 28th - Whitchurch: Amnesia House

Now named "Amnesia House", the three founding partners of the Coventry based organisation are joined by new member of their team, Bambam's brother Mickey Lynas. Moving forward with a greater purpose, Amnesia's sole objective for this year is to be the biggest organisers in the Midlands and they started by recruiting Micky to join their creative team.

Loud and confident from the beginning, Micky takes center stage and re-assures the public and his peers that he will "make the top grade as a favourable promoter". A few weeks later the new partnership shows the opposition what they have to offer when they sign on with their debut legal party, "Kaleidoscope" at the Civic Centre in the small market town of Whitchurch in north Shropshire.
