May 10th - Bedford: Helter Skelter
Dave and Penny Pratley of Helter Skelter also come out of semi-retirement to host a series of fortnightly parties at the "Fun House" [ a.k.a Milwaukees ] in Souldrop, Bedfordshire.
Helter Skelter will go head-to-head with ESP promotions as their parties are on opposing weekends to the "Bounce" parties, a friendly rivaly between the two promoters develops.
May 10th - Coventry: Helter Skelter
On the same night they launched their bi-weekly sessions at Milwaukees, Dave and Penny Pratley don't forget their roots as they host a special house night at the Eclipse in Coventry, west Midlands.
May 11th - Cambridge: Eclipse
Over in the East of England, brothers Stuart and Dave Banks from Groove II's Eclipse have every right to celebrate as they host their tenth event and nearly a year of quality events at The Corn Exchange in Cambridge.
May 11th - Stirchley: Pandemonium
There could be new challenger to the midlands crown as Paul Dawkes and Paul Archer of Pandemonium recruit promoter Marc Chamberlain to be the public face of their organisation. With years of experience in managing events in the bag, Marc will also act as the liasion officer who will handle the demands of the local media, council officals and authority figures.
Now on the march, Pandemonium will pick up from where their left off in that church in Lion street as they gradually re-build their following by hosting three parties [ "Tommorrow" - seven-hundred guests through the door, "Bang" - thousand-four-hundred guests and finally, "Pandemonium+" - a total sellout with thousand-eight-hundred guests ] within a brisk three month period at Stirchley Recreation Centre in the Strichley suburb of Telford, Shropshire.
May 11th - Chelmsford: World Party
Hailing from sunny Brixton [ home to: operation swamp 81, ritzy cinema, vox nightclub, Frank Johnson, the barrier blocks and the seminal film "Babylon" ] south-west London, World Party join the quest to be the biggest promoters in the United Kingdom.
After hosting a series of "Private" parties in the would-be birthplace of acid house in the UK, [ Ziggis nightclub in Streatham, south London ] the World Party crew take center stage to launch their first major offering, "Boiling Point" at the Essex Showground in Chelmsford, Essex.
