June 18th - Longton: Shelley's Laserdrome Venue owner John Matthews has some cause to be relived, Shelleys Laserdrome's running battle with the local authorities and the threat of imminent closure are cast aside as the Longton nightclub has a reprive and is allowed to keep it's entertainments licence.
At the licence hearing that will ultimately seal shelleys fate, it is revealed that Staffordshire constabulary will be lodging an objection to the license renewal due to the cases of "serious overcrowding" they have witnessed at the venue. Luckly for Shelleys, Longton police's objections are overuled.

June 21st - Coventry: Fusion On the longest day of this year, midlands promoters "Fusion" summond the masses to "Solstice" at Eclipse in Coventry, Leicestershire.
The promoters went forth with the nights main theme to specially erect a replica stonehenge in the middle of the dancefloor. Later that night, clubbers had a shock when practising druids took to the stage to bless their gathering!.

June 22nd - Milton Keynes: Perception Perception will undoubtlely move up a gear this year as they attempt to host a mega-party that will be talked about in years to come. A meeting of minds is formed as Perception's Chris Griffin forms an likely alliance with organiser Nick Sellers of "Total Control Events" to present the second "A Midsumers Day Dream" at the Milton Keynes Bowl in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire
Both organisers are clubbing [ pardon ] together and attempting to re-write the history books by hosting one of the boldest parties of it's kind to date.
Pre-publisitly for the mid-summers party shows a promising start as the organisers assemble a huge selection of current artists for their all-day spectacle; 808 State, The Shamen, The High, Nomad, N-Joi, Candyland, Gary Clail, Stevie V, Coldcut, Evolution, Flowered Up, Ruthless Rap Assassins, Paris Angels, Dream Frequency, PKA, Shades Of Rhythm, Sasha, DJ Easygoove and Slow Bongo Floyd.
In what could have easily been one of these parties that you would be telling your future siblings about, "A Midsumers Day Dream" turns into a farcical situation as the "party-of-the-century" has to be cancelled due to poor ticket sales and the official press release excuse of "torrential rain" in the weeks leading up to the party. According to newspaper reports, when disappointed ravers went back to their places of purchase to get ticket refunds after the cancellation, ravers got a nasty surprise when they found out that one of the co-promoters had made a hasty exit with the ticket money.

June 28th - Bootle: Energy After dazzling the Liverpudlian's with "Fun City" a few months back, the ravers in Bootle get their second chance to sample that special vibe as Karma's other entity "Energy" touches down on their own doorstep with "The Summer Of Love" at Quadrant Park in Bootle, Merseyside.
A capacity crowd of five thousand are treated to a dazzling light display and sets from guest DJ's Sasha, Fabio, Grooverider, Micky Finn and Manchester's very own DJ Nipper. Energy's first big party in Liverpool would turn out to be so popular for the organisers, Karma went back to the Quad to host part II a few months later.
