April 25th - London: Desire '92

2000AD Promotions - A promotions team synonymous for holding illegal parties from the infancy of acid house in and around the London area, get together with Labrynth - who are now veterans in the party scene, to host their first event under the name of "Desire".

 

The organisers hire a brand new venue in london's clubscene - Tasco Warehouse in Plumstead, south-east London. With a vast wealth of knowledge within the ravescene, the pairing are onto a winner!.

 

 

 

April - Morley: The Orbit

There is some bad news for the promoters of the Orbit at The Afterdark in Morley near Leeds.

 

West Yorkshire Police have taken the unprecedented step of stopping and searching anyone within the vicinity the club as there has been some reports of illegal activities inside and around the club.

 

One occasion, a man walking past the venue with his dog was handed the same treatment as some of the guests at the Orbit recieve. The dog-walker and his dog was stopped, searched and questioned!.

 

 

 

May

May 1st - Longton: Club Kinetic

A fresh, new promoter on the midlands club scene, Errol Russell starts to host "Club Kinetic" proper in the recently vacated friday night slot at The Leisurebowl in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. Oracle promotions are offered the venue due to Entropy pulling out of the venue a couple of months back.

 

Already holding a hectic schedule as Oracle promotions, [ flyer distribution company & national ticket agency ] Errol recruits Glen Banks and Andy Johnson to help run the events. A month of tester raves in April this year proved so popular, it's time to launch Club Kinetic.

 

A few months before the offical launch, Oracle spring into action and begin a manic promotional blitz which consisted of a extensive media [ radio and magazine ] campaign and the distribution of 150,000 flyers for their first round of events.

 

At the clubs launch, Kinetic's determined promotions drive pays off as a full house sees DJ Slipmatt, the Ratpack and DJ Rap together with residents DJ Diamond, Daba, TJ and MC Connie breath some new life into the famous and notorious venue.

 

 

 

May 9th - Milton Keynes: Dreamscape

Murray Beeston's Dreamscape goes from strength to strength as they hold their fourth Dreamscape rave "The Proof Of The Pudding" at Denbeigh Leisure Centre near Milton Keynes.

 

It seems that ESP's reputation is going before them as Dreamscape IV is a complete sell-out with just a couple of weeks to go!. LTJ Bukem, Ellis Dee, Clarkee, Bryan G, Mastersafe, Dougal, Ray Keith, DJ Hype, Swan'e, Tayla and Phantasy brought the sound as ESP celebrated the end of a magical four-month spell.
