August 29th - Birmingham: Pandemonium

This August has not been the best of months for party promoters nationwide as the cancellation curse goes up north to strike Pandemonium's bank holiday event. Pandemonium's latest event "Andromeda VII - The Magnificent Seven", which is due to be held at The Institute in Birmingham, is no more...

September

September 3rd - Mansfield: Vibealite

Another revolution is about to start in Nottinghamshire... Promoter Gary Jaques hosts the first rave, "Vibealite" at Venue 44 in Mansfield. With a little help from his mate Martin, Vibealite initially starts off tentatively to see if there is a market for hardcore.

As Zest found out previously, such was the demand for this event in the area, hundreds of people had to be turned away at the door. One blip on the night was when one of the guest DJ's failed to appear, as a compensational measure, the organisers gave away the DJ's appearance money in free bottles of water to their guests!.

Now given the green light, Krafty Promotions will host four more Vibealite raves [ October, November, early December and late December ] before the year is out. The number of people they have to turn away at the door is rising after each event as well, another good sign of success!.

September 11th - Burnley: Angels

With a clubbing heritage that is tracable back to the early days of acid house... A city which has recently spawn local favourites "Vision" and "Wise Up"...

There is a new feeling of optimism as Paul Taylor and Steve Farkas re-brand their venue and start hosting a new series of events at Angels in Burnley, Lancashire. As house has a bigger folowing in their area than rave, hardcore is now a dirty word at Angels as Rhythm Quest are brought in to re-christen the venue.

September 17th - Milton Keynes: Helter Skelter

After a absence of nearly a year, Dave Prattley and his wife Penny return to the big stage to resurrect the Helter Skelter organisation. Now back in familiar territory, the prattley's host the first in a series of events at The Sanctuary in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.

September 18th - Coventry: The Edge

A name change, major refurbishment of the venue, new challengers to their throne, dodgy television programmes, bad press coverage, in-venue problems and a year of hard dancing...

It seems that everything the media has thrown at the most infamous club in the UK hasn't dampened it's spirits as the management and staff of The Edge in Coventry celebrate the venue's first birthday.
