October 15th - Bristol: Jungle Rock UK

With a couple of pilot events down the road in Bath to test out the local vibes, a new organisation from the midlands "Jungle Rock UK" announces their intentions as they camp in the south-west to hold their first major party "The Big Rumble In The Jungle" at the Malcolm X Centre in Bristol, Avon.

The organisers from Jungle Rock are not going to stand on ceremony as they send for their heavyweight contingent [ Micky Finn, Carl Cox, Jumping Jack Frost, DJ Pilgrim, Bassman, Robbie D and MC Lenni ] who will give the "Big Rumble" a midlands slant and perspective to Jungle Rock's first party.

October 15th - Milton Keynes: Pure X

Jungle is the key as the promoters from Pure X and Hysteria band together and go to the Sanctuary in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire to host "The Greatest Show On Earth", their sixth all-nighter this year.

Both promoters took a lot of time and effort to kit out the Sanctuary and make the stage in the main arena appear like a grecian temple, the only downer was that you couldn't see the DJ's performing due to the temple. Upstairs in arena two was a totally different matter altogether as the jungle soundclash finalists Devious D and DJ Rap, Formation's DJ SS and the up-and-coming Diamond D turned the upstairs into a proper blues dance with some dark heavy rolling sets.

October 21st - Aldershot: Slammin' Vinyl

Tonight, the now "underground" sounds of 4-beat [ happy hardcore ] and techno will be the main topics of discussions in the chill out room as another new promoter comes to the rave garrison - also known in the south as "Army Town UK" with their first major offering.

Started initialy as a outlet for their own material two years ago, Grant Smith and Paul Rooney [ a.k.a DJ Red Alert and Mike Slammer ] and their organisation "Slammin' Vinyl" takes a break from shifting units to move swiftly into the rave promotions field when they host their first party, "The Slammer Allnighter" at the Rhythm Station in Aldershot, Hampshire.

What they didn't realise is that they have awoken a sleeping giant and a national phenonemon is sprung onto the unexpecting raving public - stay tuned.

November

November 3rd - London: Speed

Now hosted by LTJ Bukem, Speed re-opens for business at the Mars Bar in Central London. Originaly concevied in '93 by agency colleagues Bukem and DJ Fabio, Speed opened to very mixed reviews and a opening audience of twenty guests. The primary objective at Speed is to offer clubbers a refreshing alternative to the regular jungle fayre that is the theme now days, the "Intelligent" soulful vibes that is LTJ Bukem will be present and correct at Speed.

Featuring a insane batch of residents from "Groove Connection", one of the top agencies in the UK to call upon, Speed will soon be one of the most successful midweek clubs in London and the club will also become a buzzword within the junglist elite. Ran on similar lines to A.W.O.L at the weekend, Speed will be seen as the midweek meeting point where DJ's and producers catch up with mates to relax, swap gossip and dubplates, I think there could be a future in hosting parties for LTJ Bukem.
