November 4th - London: The Criminal Justice And Public Order Act

The demonstration in July this year against the dreaded "CJB" was all in vain as the Conservative backed government are once again victorious as their members pass this controversial piece of legislature. With one fall swoop, the governments draconian bill is turned into a legal act of Parliament.

Within the bill, part V is the section which covers raves and will close previous loopholes such as mass trespass and nuisance on land. In sections 63-67 of the bill, the government has defined a "rave" as a hundred or more people dancing outdoors to music, "mainly comprising of repetitive beats" and will basically give the authorites the powers to "stop and search" anyone attending such a event.

Local authorites will now have the right to detain anyone they believe is heading to an illegal gathering and the legal right to impound and confiscate soundsystems. Apart from this doom and gloom situation, the penalties are suprisingly more lenient than 1990's "Increased Penalties Act" with only three months imprisonment or a £2,500 fine if found guilty.

November 5th - Lydd: World Dance

Promoters Chris and Jay from World Dance will not be part of the gunpowder plot as they host the "Fireworks Spectacular" at the International Airport in Lydd, Kent.

But they will get a group of pyrotechnics experts who will dazzle the guests at World Dance with a indoor and outdoor firework display that has never been tried at a rave before. All World Dance's plans come to fruition as their bonfire night party turns out to be one the biggest WD parties at Lydd to date and their spectacular becomes a permanent fixture in the raving calendar.

November 12th - London: Labrynth

For the last excursion of a very productive year for their organisation, Labrynth returns to The Rocket in north London to host "Touchdown" the forth and final party at the venue this year.

November 12th - Wolverhampton: Quest

As the recent problems and violence in nightclubs around the midlands are about to reach a terrifying crescendo, the intolerable situation at their club reaches it's peak as Quest dramatically cancel their fortnightly parties at Palomas in Wolverhampton, west midlands at very short notice.

Similar to their hiatus in the summer, if you think this is the end of another era for those at Quest, you are sadly mistaken.

November 18th - London: Desire

It's all smiles and laughter again for organisers mick and phil at 2000AD as they welcome the ravescene to celebrate Desire's sixth birthday at Bagley's Warehouse in Kings Cross, north London.
