December

December - Bristol: Knowledge Magazine

On a production budget of two hundred quid, a "borrowed" computer and inspiration from other rave fanzines around them, Ledge promotions adds another section to the collectives C.V. as they release the first issue of Knowledge Magazine.

With their Ruffneck Ting parties gaining momentum and popularity throughout this year, Ledge utilizes their flyering network as they review and promote local DJ's, producers, raves, records and connected ancillary services. With more of a thought process than it's equivalents, Knowledge will keep the public informed on whats happening in the ravescene in Bristol, south-west and beyond.

December 2nd - Bristol: Death Row Techno

As the ravescene fragmented and went it's seperate ways - into "genres", house and jungle got the best "settlement" out of the "divorce", but as you know techno and happy hardcore faired the worst out of the arrangement. This is typified in the Bristol as everyone wants to listen to house, jungle and happy hardcore, hard techno and gabba once again gets marginalised leading to hardly any nights that are totally committed to playing hard techno.

A new club suddenly appears on Bristol's clubbing landscape, a night devoid of cheesey house and it's only dedication is to those who are lovers and disciples of techno and gabba, "Death Row Techno". One of the leading techno DJ's on the south-west circuit, Pete Kowalski [ a.k.a The Destroyer ] gives the local techno community a place they can call their own as he hosts the first "DRT" live from The Depot in the Lawrence Hill suburb of Bristol, Avon.

December 23rd - Ringwood: In-ter-dance

Nearly nine months to the day since their unscheduled tribute party, held in honour of In-ter-dance's lead organiser Mensa, the remaining members of the In-ter-dance organisation pull out the backdrops for one last time as they prepare for the "Stuff The Turkey" tribute party for their fallen friend at the Manor in Ringwood, Hampshire.

December 23rd & 31st - Mansfield: Vibealite

Gary and Martin from Krafty Promotions rounds off a busy first year in promotions by hosting Vibealite's 21st birthday party at Venue 44 in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. A week after Krafty's 21st birthday, the celebrations start all over again as Vibealite sees in '95 with a new years eve special!.

December 25th - London: A.W.O.L

Now back in day job, there will be no time for turkey and all the trimmings for promoters Chris and Jay of World Dance as they take their other occupation "A.W.O.L" across the river. For tonight they will be back at the Minstry Of Sound in Borough, south-east London to test out their soundsystem and hold the traditional A.W.O.L members and staff Christmas party.
