March

March 16th - Manchester: 808 State

Acid house path-finders 808 State roll onto home turf to headline the "In Your Face Turbo Rave" at the G-Mex Centre in central Manchester, greater Manchester. In keeping with rave concert traditions, the warm-up acts for this concert include MC Tunes, Bjork and N-Joi.

 

 

March 29th - Weekend World

Of an absense of nearly two years, promoter Tarquin de Meza and Weekend World come out of semi-retirement to host the fifth "Rave To Rock The Grave" party at the midlands venue of the moment, the Eclipse in Coventry, west Midlands.

 

 

 

Spring - Swansea: Tick-Tock

After exceeding expectations with three well recieved parties at Marina nightspot in the city centre, organisers Stephen Lomas and Jez are approached by the owner of Martha's Vineyard on the Kingsway in Swansea, west Glamorgan, with the view of them to taking over the friday night slot at his venue.

 

Now with a bigger venue capacity of nine-hundred and more dancing time to work with, within the next few months resident DJ's John-Paul and Lomas will be joined in the DJ box by co-promoter Jez plus local DJ's Solo and Jamo as Tick Tock's reputation is futher enhanced as their parties go weekly.

 

 

 

April

April 4th - Longton: Entropy

In a bid to offer Stoke something different than the normal fayre of house, [ which has a very big cult following in the area ] promoters Gavin Donellan and Darren Birch break with local traditions and start hosting "Entropy" at The Leisurebowl in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.

 

The fortunes of local DJ Daz Willot's are changing as his DJ'ing career picks up. Stoke's rising star will only have to cross the main road at the weekends as he gains another residency for Entropy as well!.

 

 

April 11th - Manchester: The Haçienda

After a self-enforced four month hitatus, in a very brief press release to the media and their members, the management at the Haçienda reveales that the club will re-open on the 10th May after some minor refurbishment work.

 

 

As the management installs their airport-style metal detector.
