July

July 3rd - York: Galactica

Now making a huge impression in the northern scene, Galactica will take on York Racecourse as they host their first outdoor event.

Carl Cox, DJ Nipper, DJ Sy, DJ Lime, DJ Face, Evil Eddie Richards, N-joi and the Bassheads are on the list in what could be one of the biggest raves that Yorkshire has ever seen. Seven thousand ticket holders are taken on a musical journey till the sun shines!.

July 3rd - Leighton Buzzard: Peace Fest

Take two promoters, Shrine from Essex and In-ter-dance from the West Sussex and the location where a Royal Mail train was hi-jacked in 1963... Peace Fest will brighten up the summer as the two organisations combine to hold the first Peace Fest at Rowden Farm near Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire.

At a time where the biggest flyer meant this rave is going to be the biggest and best rave ever?... Peace Fest has a staggering twenty-four DJ's and three P.A's in two huge circus tents!. Could this event be one of those classic parties that may go down in raving folklore?.

July 15th - Weston-Under-Lizard: Dance Nation

Quest joins the other promoters outdoors to host their first venture outside their home base at Palomas in Wolverhampton. For their first outdoor event, Quest join forces with Stoke promoters Gavin Donellan and Darren Birch from the Entropy organisation.

Using the "Dance Nation" pseudonym, Quest and Entropy will host this all-night affair in the grounds of Weston Park in Weston-Under-Lizard, Shropshire. The Dance Nation event even has local media coverage on regional TV as the promoters are going to donate a large chunk of the proceeds to the ITV Central's Telethon '92 appeal.

The production teams from Quest and Entropy got together and thought very big, the final line-up they selected for the Dance Nation rave is huge with oldskool boys Fabio, Grooverider and Carl Cox, Quest's own DJ Pilgrim, DJ Ratty, DJ SS, Top Buzz and The Prodigy are headlining.

Even with all these DJ's and attractions on display, Quest's first outdoor event sadly wasn't a complete sell-out as most people have saved and waiting for Fantazia's next big all-nighter, "One Step Beyond" at Castle Donington which is next week.

One of the highlights on the night was when one of the other performers, Rozalla was replaced by Michael Jackson.... Rozalla couldn't perform at Dance Nation so the orgainers hired a Michael Jackson [ who Rozalla stood up the ravers up for to perform on his tour ] look-a-like to "sing" in her place.

To his credit, the look-a-like tried his hardest but he took the gig a little bit too serious and came out with a routine - Cans were thrown at him by the crowd and Michael sadly had to leave the stage after the third song! - How can they treat pop royality like that?.
