February - National: Metalheadz Goldie - For time an established artist on a growing and thriving jungle scene, permanently cements his friendship with fellow midlander, record stable mate and Amnesia House resident Doc Scott as they set up a record label to use as a creative juncture and outlet for their own material.
An admirer Doc Scott's style and equally amazed that the production techniques where coming from a "white guy with blue eyes", Goldie seeks a meeting with Doc Scott and is finally introduced to him by Grooverider whilst in a record shop in north London. At the meeting, Doc Scott points out that they have met before at a graffiti show in Birmingham ten years ago and he wanted to meet the creator of the Terminator. When the pair realised they had a lot in common and as they shared the same interests and aspirations, they hit it off straight away!. Straight after their "first contact" meeting, Goldie took Doc Scott to Rage to celebrate and eventually coaxes him to sign for Reinforced.
Through Goldie's regular haunt and hang-out - Rage at Heaven in central London, Goldie would network and create firm allegiances with the likes of Peshay, Alex Reece, Wax Doctor, Dillinja, J.Majik and Photek who all shared his dark and disorted visions of the future of drum and bass. The first offering from their "Metalheadz" label is the "Unreleased Metal" collaboration from Goldie and Doc Scott, which is released to critical acclaim and duly receives the undivided attention of the A & R executives.
