May 14th - London: Innersense

Hot on the heels of Elevation, Reincarnation and Ravescene's 1st Hardcore Dance Awards, HDA venue winner "Innersense" host their own version of the awards ceremony [ in celebration of the DJ ] at the Lazerdrome in Peckham, south-east London. Three months ago, within their monthly mail-outs members of Innersense were also given questionaires where you had to select your favourite DJ.

Tonight is the culmination of the counting of thousands of votes to decide the burning question, who is the first Innersense DJ award winner?. During the night, the music in both arenas is turned off as all the attention turns to the awards ceremony. Head of security for the venue "Fish" is summonds on stage to give out the results - Best DJ: Randall, 2nd Place: Micky Finn and 3rd Place: Grooverider.

May 14th & June 18th - London: Jungle Soundclash

'94 is forever going to be known as the year of the concept parties as the Pirate Club's younger sibling, "Jungle Soundclash" host the first two rounds of the "Jungle Soundclash Heavyweight Championship".

With nearly every top-flight DJ in the country been asked and given the chance to perform at their special one-off soundclash [ the "Jungle Committee" deemed this event too "cheesy" so they voted to "boycott" the parties. ] and many suprisingly declined the offer, these first few rounds of the clash will see who will progress to the finals in a few months time.

The first round of the clash sees Roast resident DJ Younghead take on DJ Rap and Kenny Ken is paired against fellow A.W.O.L stable mate Darren Jay. A month later, Jungle Soundclash will be returning to the Roller Express in Edmonton, north London to host round two of the Soundclash which sees Danny Breaks up against Devious D and Cool Hand Flex is pitted against the Mickey Finn. [ If you can't wait for a couple of months and you want to find out the results of this battle, look away now. ]

May 21st - Wolverhampton: Quest

Quite recently, there has been a lot of unrest, bad attitudes, violence and robberies at jungle parties all over the UK, and this is been typified in the midlands. One such casualty to the escalating problems in recent times is Wolverhampton's Quest who have to call a temporary halt to their weekly parties.

All is not lost because the organisers will start afresh and will be re-launching the club after the summer holidays on a fortnightly basis. The organisers at Quest will have to spread themselves very thin anyways as they have to arrange and host the final party in the all-nighter series "The Untouchables" next month at the Que Club in Brimingham, west midlands. A few months down the line, the organisers have also got the "Promised Land" all-nighter lined up with the Fibre Optic crew at The Sanctuary in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire as well, so the organisers will be a little tied-up this summer!.

May 26th - Hastings: Heat

On the south coast, In-house promotions give the clubbers in Kent have something to talk about again as they launch a new jungle party called "Heat" at The Crypt in Hastings, Kent.
