July 22nd - Aldershot: Fusion

There is a lot of anticipation within Hampshire's hardcore community as Portsmouth is also added to the map when local pompey DJ's the Druid and Vinylgroover's collaboration, the Kounter Attack E.P is due to be released by their hometown label, Hectic Records.

 

To help celebrate the launch of the "Hect 007" records release, Hectic's other business venture "Fusion" stands to attention as they host "For Your Eyes Only" at the Rhythm Station in Aldershot, Hampshire.

 

 

July 24th - London: The Criminal Justice And Public Order Bill

Thousands fight for our rights again as they take to the streets to march against the "CJB".

 

With the far reaching implications of the bill spelt out by Lifeline's in-house artist Linnel, the march is supported and organised by a host groups: The Advance Party, Liberty, Freedom Network, Forgive Us Our Tresspass, Friends, Families and Travellers Support Group, Road Alert & SQUASH.

 

Held on one of the hottest days of the year so far, the demonstration sees a staggering fifty to eighty thousand people march through central London in protest to the bill. Officers from the Metropolitan police have come prepared as they lay on a extra special reception for the protestors as hundreds of the Met's finest are all decked out in rather fetching riot attire.

 

 

July 28th - Chippenham: Devotion

In a very hazy two years which has seen them wake up sleepy Wiltshire to hardcore and stay loyal to the one venue, thus creating a healthy following in the process. They have brought in top DJ's and acts such as The Prodigy, Shades of Rhythm, Bizzare Inc, The House Crew, Baby D and K-Klass. A friendly local club that has risen it's residents: Elwyn Lloyd [ a.k.a Extra-T ] Andy [ a.k.a Bertie ] Chris Maxey [ a.k.a DJ Max ] and Ricky Cox [ a.k.a MC Easy E ] into local DJ celebrity status. And a nightclub that has been hounded and persecuted by the Wiltshire Constabulary on numerous occassions after closing time.

 

The bright lights are fading for the ravers in Wiltshire as guests from all over the west country and futher afield wait patiently for Devotion's last party at Goldiggers in Chippenham, Wiltshire. The rising star on the hardcore circuit - Southampton's DJ Brisk is summonded to lead the way as he will be the last guest DJ to perform at Devotion for the Chippenham massive.

 

 

July 30th - Ingliston: Rezerection

Paul Ludford from northern giants Rezerection takes to the big stage again as his organisation holds their annual outdoor spectacle "Event 2" at the Royal Highland Showground in Ingliston, Edinburgh. Once again Rezerection will make full use of the whole showground site as they go about errecting two huge circus tents in preperation for the sixteen thousand guests due at their special one-off party.

 

The Event 2 will be a mostly techno affair with splashes of gabba, hardcore and jungle to help keep the northern ravers happy!. Scotland's biggest party this year has sold-out with two weeks to go and will see Lenny Dee, Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Paul Elstak, Darkraver, Bass Generator, DJ Slipmatt, KMC, MC Ribbs, The Producer, The Rhythmic State and "Commander" Tom Wilson officially kickstart their summer.
