July 30th - National: Club Omniverse & The Final Frontier
Shurey and Jenkinson from Omniverse, leave London behind and spread their wings as they attempt to recreate that special final frontier atmosphere in the midlands. Seven months on from their re-birth back into the clubbing fraternity, Omniverse are moving as they launch "Club Omniverse" their second weekly club in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire.
Despite the best efforts of their promotional team, Club Omniverse doesn't reach the same heights of it's "older brother" down in London and closes a few weeks after opening. If a stressful opening night in the midlands wasn't enough to contend with, on the same night as their launch party, Omniverse pulled off a "Energy" and introduced themselves to northern irish scene when they hosted a very special edition of The Final Frontier at Kelly's Nightclub in Portrush, County Antrim.
August
August 5th to 26th - National: Pandemonium
Paul Dawkes, Paul Archer and Marc Chamberlain from one the UK's busiest organisations - Pandemonium, quell the demands of the northern ravers as they move away from their comfort zone in the midlands to create a new north-south fanbase when they embark on a three-date club tour of the United Kingdom.
The first stop on Pandemonium's "Andromeda Tour" will be held in north-east England where they will co-host their first party with Temptation at the Northgate Arena in Chester, Cheshire. The next stop on the Pandemonium's tour will venture thirty miles north when they host the second leg at The Hard Dock in Liverpool, Merseyside. In fact, this party will be Pandemonium's second visit to the city as they hosted a series of parties at the o-five-one club in the middle of '92.
The final party of Pandemonium's Andromeda Tour will also be in a city they have held parties before as they arrive in the south-west of England. The organisers will give the ravers in the area another excuse to attend a Pandemonium party as they host the tour's finale at the south-west's venue of the moment - The Warehouse in Plymouth, Devon. Pandemonium are coming, lock up your daughters.
August 5th - Milton Keynes: Pure X
Starting off with a party at Venue 44 in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. An aborted party in New Cummock, Ayrshire. And a series of parties at the midlands "Church of rave" - The Que Club in Birmingham, west midlands. Kenny Khan and his promotions team tear themselves away from "rave-central" in the midlands as they take on Club Zen in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire to host their new venture.
"Club Pure X" - The organisers first visit to Buckinghamshire will show the local junglists what they have learnt, and have been missing in their controversial three-year-spell holding parties. Pure X will attempt to completely mash up Club Zen's dancefloor and soundsystem to the ground with their special blend of jungle, mc'ing and outright general rowdyness.
