August 8th - National: UK Apachi & Shy-FX

Right, ok, sound off the siren, jungle troops stand to attention, that record is here, the record that has everyone going mad and shouting "bo!" everytime is finally been released natonwide.

In a quiet backstreet in Edmonton, north London, one-time Trinity studio trainee Andre Williams [ a.k.a Shy-FX ] wipes the floor clean with all challengers when he comes up with another jungle anthem. Just like Shy-FX's first offering on Dave Stone's SOUR records imprint [ the highly controversial "Gangsta EP" collaboration with Rodney Dixon a.k.a Gunsmoke ] the first few test presses of "The Nuttah" causes mass hysteria at raves in London, resulting in the record to be rewound time and time again, those Shy-FX dubplates always seem to stop raves in their tracks.

With the dramatic sample by Ray Liotta taken from the classic gangster movie "Goodfellas", plus a very amped-up performance from sparing partner, south London born artist Abdul Lafta [ a.k.a UK Apachi ], this track clearly sums up the direction in which the producers of jungle are following. Trully original and could be a modern day soundtrack to the deprieved inner-city council estates and tower blocks, the "Original Nuttah" has a popularity like no other and it will be seen as a legend in every aspect.

August 12th - Plymouth: Omnitech

There is a ripple of excitement in the south-west as the locals are going to be treated to another night of hard techno. The organisers from Omnitech choose the middle of summer to host their first party of the year "The Second Coming" at The Warehouse in Plymouth, Devon.

August 19th - Aldershot: Hardcore Heaven

Hampshire's time is upon us, are you ready for some "Impact" hardcore?.

Happy hardcore's resident party animal and the all-round "Sex God" John Kalkan [ a.k.a DJ Seduction ] and his record label "Impact" tests the local demand and proves that happy hardcore isn't ready to die yet. Seduction and his gang from the record company host their first party using the "Hardcore Heaven" moniker at the Rhythm Station in Aldershot, Hampshire.

A tasty line-up including DJ Seduction, Easygroove, DJ Slipmatt, The Druid, DJ Sy, DJ Lomas, MC Sharkey and MC Ribbs kept a full house of Hamsphire's dedicated hardcore following on their toes all night long and started a musical revolution in Army Town, UK - 4-Beat is here to stay.

August 20th - Ayr: Hanger 13

Hanger 13 in Ayr, Ayrshire is once again in turmoil as twenty-year-old delivery driver Andrew Stoddart of Rigside, Lanarkshire becomes the third person in four months to die from ecstasy after collapsing at the venue. Every nighclub in Scotland goes on red alert as there are suggestions that the death could linked to a batch of contaminated ecstasy tablets.

Despite all the preventative measures carried out by the management of the club, on the same night as this tradegy, two other guests at the venue were also taken to Hospital in Ayr after falling ill. A few days after the death of Mr. Stoddart, the MP for Carrick, Cumnock and Doon Valley George Foulkes MP stated that he has called previously for the nightclub to be closed temporarily and he will personally write to the lord advocate [ the highest criminal prosecutor in Scotland - Alan Rodger QC ] to see if his office can take any kind of action against the nightclub.
